What We Collect
When you use EssayCloak, we collect your email address if you create an account, payment information processed securely through Stripe, and usage data such as word counts and timestamps. We use cookies to maintain your login session.
Text You Submit
Text submitted for humanization is processed by our AI engine and is not stored permanently for free-tier users. Paid users who opt into the history feature will have their submissions stored in their account. We do not sell, share, or use your submitted text for any purpose other than providing the humanization service. Your text is not used to train AI models.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide the humanization service, process payments, send account-related communications, and improve our service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-Party Services
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, Stripe for payment processing, and Anthropic's API for text processing. Each of these services has their own privacy policies. Your submitted text is sent to Anthropic's API for processing but is subject to Anthropic's data usage policies which do not use API inputs for model training.
Data Retention
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Free-tier text submissions are not stored after processing is complete.
